We are defining feature characters as being a) any character created with
a more than standard number of points; b) any character created
specifically to fill a 'niche' which may lead to that character having
specific responsibilities or benefits (such as being the caretaker of a
Freehold); c) any character belonging to a limited or unique character class.

Please note that all three of these conditions can come about due to IC
actions -- a character that has been played for a long time will have more
than the usual number of points, for example, and someone who plays politics
well may eventually wind up managing a Freehold. These are not considered
feature characters, because they were originally applied for following
standard character generation rules.

All feature characters are expected to commit to a minimum activity level,
to be determined on a case-by-case basis. We are always willing to work
with you to ensure that this does not become a problem; RL comes first, and
it can be damaging to the RP environment to yank too many feature characters.
However, if the player of a feature character will be consistently
unavailable due to RL reasons, they may be asked to step down.

Feature characters are a privilege, not a right; OOC abuse of position will
result in the character being revoked.
