10/20: The Undersea has Invaded!
The player characters are the heart and soul of any game. It is through their actions that the plot will change and grow, that things will be resolved, and that the story we are telling will unfold. So yes, we're very glad to see each and every one of you. When creating a player character, we recommend that you first read all the appropriate newsfiles, to ensure that your concept fits with this game. Remember that in many ways, your concept will dictate the kind of RP you are able to easily obtain: the sluagh introvert won't find as much social RP as the pooka belly dancer, but may have an easier time joining the research-based plots. RP staff is always willing to help you find a niche, and we have a wide variety of environments to fit our players into. A few tips on character creation: * Make a character you think you'll enjoy playing, not one you think will make good plot bait. The more you enjoy your character, the more you'll play; the more you play, the more likely staff is to involve you heavily in plot. It's a productive cycle. * Remember that your willingness to interact with other characters is largely set at character generation. Again, the sluagh introvert just isn't going to get as many random discussions in cafes, although they'll get more research and riddle fun. Pick your pleasures. * Work with staff. We like to help, and we like to see you having a good time. If we all work together, the odds of us achieving our goals go up substantially. Please see 'news backgrounds'.
